The Neighborhood Christian Center is a place where everyone can get involved, whether you are a: tutor, financial supporter, business owner, parent, a member of our community or just a member of the body of Christ, we want to work with you.  We strive daily to, "utilize the body of Christ to do the work of Christ in the city", I strongly believe that everyone's gifts, talents, and passions can be used for the work of Christ, please allow us to utilize you! 

You will find many ideas on the page below about supporting our ministry, please let me know if you would like more information on getting involved at the Neighborhood Christian Center.  I would love to schedule a personal visit in your home or office, speak at your Sunday School class or civic club, or give you a tour of our Ash Street Center. - Melody Moody, NCC Director of Development

Prayer Support: E-mail us to become a member of our periodical E-mail newsletter.

It offers pictures and praise reports as well as updated prayer requests to inform you better about what the Lord is doing and how you can pray for us.

Financial Support:         

• Become a monthly supporter: We have a great need for individuals to support us on a monthly basis with gifts of $25, $50, $100, $200 or other.

• Automatic Draft: Save time and money with automatic monthly transfers from your checking account.  

• One time gift: Give us a one time gift of $500 or more or other amount which you may be led to give.  

• Sponsor an NCC event- We have sponsorship opportunities for our After School Tutoring Program, Summer Super Stars for Christ, Christmas Gift Basket Distribution and our annual fundraising event, NCC's Pickin' and Paddlin' Outdoor Festival.

• Use our Gift Catalog and provide for a child this holiday season, if you would like to give a gift in someone's name, we will send you a card to present to them signifying your gift. 

• Contact us if you are connected to a church, business, or private foundation which may be interested in supporting us.

• Other ways to give include: A Will or Revocable Trust, Endowed Scholarship, Real Estate, Personal Property, or giving to our Capital Campaign.

Join the Neighborhood Block Party, our monthly giving club!!

After 17 years, NCC knows that transforming the inner city of Jackson requires a long term commitment and a predictable, stable funding infrastructure to continue sharing Christ’s love through caring for the physical, spiritual and emotional needs of the poor. The Neighborhood Christian Center has implemented a new monthly giving club designed to allow our supporters to give in an easier and more convenient way while creating a more reliable and sustainable support system for the ministry of the Neighborhood Christian Center. Becoming a member of the "Block Party" allows you to contribute through automatic bank withdrawal or through your credit card, providing us with the day to day support that we need in a way that is more convenient for you and more cost effective for us. • Visit our Wish List for ideas on items we can use at the Center!                                                                                                                                 
• Some of our major needs include: Snacks for After School Tutoring, School Supplies, Educational computer software and games, Bottled Water (for our emergency relief closet), Dictionaries, Bibles, Printers, Winter Coats and a 16 passenger Van!                                        
• Adopt a Family at Christmas time!  Provide toys, clothing and needed items for needy families during the holiday season.
• We are always in need copies of any of these JPS Summer Reading books!!

Volunteer:

•  Tutoring: Share your faith and love through mentoring a child an hour a week. Each program includes Scripture memory exercises and one-on-one assistance with homework.  Fall (Mid Sep. - Dec) / Spring (Jan. - May)

• Administrative Assistance: Work at our Ash Street facilities weekday mornings from 9:00 am - Noon.

• Prepare snacks for children in our After School Programs.

• Mission opportunities are available for a church group, Please set this up by calling us at: 601-354-8855.

• Sign up to volunteer at our Annual Fundraiser: Pickin' and Paddlin' is scheduled for April 7, 2007.  Volunteer slots are available in 2 hour shifts, 7am-9am, 9am-11am, 11am-1pm, 1pm-3pm.  All volunteers will receive: Free Admission (includes BBQ lunch) and event T-shirt!

Tours of the Center and personal visits in home or office by our Development Director are available.
